Dancing at Sterling Stage Folkfest

« on: February 01, 2010, 09:17:19 AM »

I'm sick of winter and wishing for festival season to get going. Does anyone have any good festival recommendations?

We've been to:

moe.down (2008) - Not pleasant. I have never been searched so much in my life while the scumbag nitrous dealers walked by with giant tanks on their shoulders. WTF?  Thumbs Down I still managed to smuggle in a glass bottle of hot sauce and very sharp chef's knife <the horror!>   Devil

Sterling Stage Folkfest - First time we saw RMB  2 Thumbs Up!
Great Blue Heron in western NY  Thumbs Up
Vibes  2 Thumbs Up!
Wormtown  2 Thumbs Up!

We usually go to Crawfish Festival in NJ, but it's close enough to drive home each day and it's not really a festival kind of fest. This year we are doing Mountain Jam that weekend instead.

We're also doing Some Kind of Jam 5 in PA and hopefully French Broad River in NC.

We've already got tickets for SKOJ5 and just saw the Natural Breakdown will be there in June so it's another possibility.

We're rethinking Mtn. Jam because RMB is playing with Martin Sexton that same weekend at the Nokia Theater in NY.
